Egg Drop Challenge

We started with one original designe then we compleatly morfed it into a combination of two designes, #3 and #6 (the 6 one was changed also in it's way we droped it).
These where aour first three designes that we came up with
1. Was suposed to be two spunges around an egg with wings on eather side of it so that it could flowt down and hit the ground softly.
2. Is the idea that we would just drop a egg with a parachute and a cone on the bottome of it and also a bucket at the bottem on the ground so that the egg would go down and hit the watter so that it would slow it down and stop at the bottem.
3. Was suposed to be an egg with several sheets of cardboard around it so that when you droped you would spin it so that the cardboard would create lift and slow it down.

4. Is an idea that we had to make a tube of paper with flaps down the inside and the egg sitting on the top so that you would drop the hole toob and inside the tube wile it was falling the egg would fall down the tube and be slowed down by the flaps and then it woul end up falling into a bucket of watter.
5. This was an idea that we had to make a long tube out of paper or ductape and so that the bottem was smaller than the top so that when you droped the egg down the top it would end up slowing down the hole way and end up stopping right aboce the ground.

6. This was the idea that we chose and it was to make a long role of paper with the egg at the center so that you would role it of the side of the balconey and it would be slowed by tape and it would just stop right above the ground.

This was our decision matrix

This is our list of items to bring and also our plan for making shure we brot them all in.
Suplies - 15-20 peices of paper and ductape
Plan- write them down in our agendas
This is our plan in action
Acevements-

 Material based Achievements:
We earned these three

-Your materials fit inside a shoe box
-Your materials fit inside a printer paper box
-Your materials fit inside a shoe box

Material Weight:
We weighed our designe with the egg and it had a total weight of 36.5g
(your egg is not included in material weight)

Drop Accuracy:
Ours hit the Bullseye three times in a row
-You hit the butcher paper!
-You hit inside the third ring!
-You hit inside the second ring!

Paradigm Shift

I watched the video on Inscribed and Central Angles in Geometry and it goes right with what I am learning in class. It was very informational and an exelent way to maby make up a lesson that someone had missed.
http://www.khanacademy.org/math/geometry-1/core-geometry/v/inscribed-and-central-angles

The video was great in almost all aspects of it but if i had to change somethings I would sugjest changing the variables that he used to more common ones and some of the collors were hard to see but every thing else was greate.

"Sustain"
The video was very thuro in how he explained the topic, he did not just tell you about the toppic he walked you through three different proufs of the topick.

"Change"
I kind of dont agree with flipping the classroom in several classes but I can see how it would work in other ones. For example I dont think it would work very well in history but it would work in math.

2.1.6 Model Creations

Why is it imprtant to be detailed when documeting your desgn?
Because you may forget what exactly you did to get the resolts that you got.

How is an object's mass different from its weight?
The mass is the total space and the wight depends on what material the object is made out of.

How does surface area differ from area?
Surface area is the total area and area is of just one surface.
